Zhenyu He · Jobs Stroustrup

Li Chong was a senior lab member at the Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences, School of Physics, Peking University, during my undergraduate senior thesis work on aerosol retrieval. Her research covers MODIS passive remote sensing, satellite aerosol retrieval, and joint satellite-ground-based retrieval methods.

I collaborated with Li Chong on aerosol research at PKU during 2021-2022, including the MODIS retrieval code pipeline, physical diagnostics of retrieval uncertainty, and methodological discussions on the sensitivity of retrievals to aerosol vertical-distribution parameters (scale height).

As first author of Li C. et al. 2020 Remote Sensing, Li Chong shares co-authorship with Prof. Yuk Yung at Caltech. This co-authorship link is part of the methodological context surrounding my concurrent undergraduate exposure to PKU aerosol retrieval and Caltech DSCOVR atmospheric retrieval.
